Booking & Arrival
How do I book a stay at LaneHead Farm?
You can book directly through our online booking system for the best rates. Alternatively, give us a call on +44 7800 976927 or email [email protected] and we will be happy to help.
Book your stay online →What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. If you expect to arrive after 6:00 PM, please let us know your estimated arrival time so we can make arrangements.
Is there parking available?
Yes, we offer free parking on site with space for up to 9 vehicles. There is no need to book a parking space in advance.
How do I get to LaneHead Farm?
From the M6, exit at Junction 40 and follow the A66 towards Keswick. Then take the A5091 towards Troutbeck. We are just 8 minutes from Keswick and about 15 minutes from Penrith by car. Full directions will be provided with your booking confirmation.
Can I book the whole house for a private gathering?
Yes, LaneHead Farm is available for exclusive hire. It is perfect for family get-togethers, celebrations, or group holidays. With 7 en-suite rooms, a shared lounge, kitchen, hot tub, and beautiful grounds, you will have the whole farmhouse to yourselves. Visit our farmhouse page for more details.

How many rooms do you have?
We have 7 individually styled bedrooms, each offering its own character and charm. Room types range from cosy doubles to spacious family rooms, all designed for a comfortable stay.
Do all rooms have en-suite bathrooms?
Yes, every one of our 7 rooms has a private en-suite bathroom. Each is well equipped with complimentary toiletries and fresh towels.
Is there WiFi available?
Yes, free WiFi is available throughout the guest house, including in all bedrooms and communal areas.
Do you have a hot tub?
Yes, we have a shared 5-seater hot tub available for all guests to enjoy. It is open year-round and is the perfect way to unwind after a day exploring the fells. There is nothing quite like soaking under the stars with views of the Lake District hills.
Is there a TV or entertainment?
We have a cosy communal lounge with a log fire and a projector, perfect for movie nights. The lounge is a wonderful space to relax and socialise with other guests or enjoy a quiet evening with your group.

What is included in breakfast?
Continental breakfast is offered free with every stay. It is served each morning in our dining room.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
Please let us know your dietary needs when you book so we can accommodate accordingly.

Dogs & Pets
Are dogs welcome at LaneHead Farm?
Yes, we love dogs and they are very welcome at LaneHead Farm. We provide dog treats, towels for muddy paws, and poo bags. There is plenty of outdoor space for your four-legged friends to enjoy, and walks start right from the doorstep.
Is there a charge for bringing a dog?
There is a small charge for dogs to cover the additional cleaning and supplies we provide. The exact fee will be confirmed at the time of booking. We want to make sure your dog has as wonderful a stay as you do.
Are there good walking routes nearby?
Yes, there are fantastic fell walks directly from our door. You can head straight out onto the hills without needing to drive anywhere. The surrounding countryside is perfect for dogs and their owners, with a wonderful variety of routes from gentle valley strolls to more ambitious fell climbs.
Local Area
How far is Keswick from LaneHead Farm?
Keswick is approximately 8 minutes by car from LaneHead Farm. It is a lovely market town with independent shops, cafes, a theatre, and the famous Derwentwater lake right on its doorstep.
How far is Penrith?
Penrith is about 15 minutes by car. It offers excellent transport links via the M6 motorway and Penrith railway station, as well as a range of shops, restaurants, and the historic Penrith Castle.
What is there to do nearby?
There is so much to explore in the Lake District. Highlights include climbing Helvellyn, taking a steamer on Ullswater, visiting the ancient Castlerigg Stone Circle, walking in Borrowdale, and exploring the many charming villages. Visit our local area guide for more inspiration.
