Dining Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am and 9am. We offer a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, grapefruit, prunes and yogurts for you to help yourself to for starters. Our Full English Breakfast consists of bacon, sausage (pork or vegetarian), egg (fried, poached or scrambled), mushrooms, tomato, fried bread and black pudding. Our breakfast meat is sourced from Cranstons Butchers in Penrith and our eggs are supplied by The Lakes Free Range Egg Company in Stainton. Our informal dining room is transformed in the evening to provide the perfect setting for our rustic farmhouse cuisine. After a pre-dinner drink in the lounge you will be shown through to your table for your 2 or 3 course dinner. Your chosen wine will be awaiting your arrival in the dining room. If you have room left you can finish your meal with a complimentary tea or coffee either in the dining room or lounge. For those that like an after dinner tipple we have a selection of malt whiskeys, a Cognac and an Armagnac for you to sample along with a selection of local beers. All our meals are freshly cooked
using fresh ingredients. For this reason we do need to know in advance if our
guests are dining with us. The last time to order dinner is 10am. Our menu changes
daily and we tailor it to our guest’s likes and dislikes so we have not
included a sample menu on this site as we feel it would not reflect what we offer. |
